 Heard of a tropical stream

 channel motion picture, 4'20'', 2018

"I Heard Tropical Liu" is a three-channel video work, in which the projections around the space light up or dim one after another. Although the three projections do not intersect in space, the audience can easily perceive the walls between the projections. The man in the shadow always enters the image from the boundary of the projection, and leaves from the boundary after completing his task, as if there is a coherent space behind each projection.

The seven short films unfolded one after another between the on and off of the projection, and in the digitally composited scene, they mixed images from different sources (real objects, screenshots...), and they waited for the arrival of the person in the film. After standing in his position, he stared straight at the camera, as if a TV anchor came to the green screen and began to speak. Like other objects, what he said was placed there straightforwardly, without muddling at all, but it seemed that there was a gap between each ring Because of being too sure, it makes people suspicious.

Looking into the eyes of the person in the film, the audience hears him speaking prepared words, but at this moment it is more like a spell: his expression is clear, but the content is vacillating, sometimes he explains the relationship between the objects in the image, Sometimes it is interpreted by images, and the language in each short film interprets each other with slight differences and images. The person in the film does not wait, he is either in the image, or coming from another image, the audience is surrounded by it and let their doubts and expectations take turns, only to find that the image repeats, most of the time, they choose to experience it once .
